WSOP Main Event Champion 2019
Der bedeutendste Erfolg der Karriere von Hossein Ensan: der Sieg beim World Series of Poker Main Event 2019 in Las Vegas. Nach einem langen Heads-up-Duell setzte er sich gegen Dario Sammartino durch und gewann die Siegprämie von 10 Millionen US-Dollar sowie das prestigeträchtige WSOP-Bracelet.
EPT Main Event Prag 2015
Bereits vier Jahre zuvor, im Dezember 2015, gewann Ensan das Main Event der European Poker Tour in Prag – sein erster großer internationaler Titel.

WSOP Main Event 2019 – The Win in Las Vegas
In July 2019, Hossein Ensan won the World Series of Poker Main Event in Las Vegas – to this day the greatest achievement of his career. Out of a field of 8,569 players, he reached the final table and defeated Italy's Dario Sammartino heads-up. The win earned him the $10,000,000 first prize and the prestigious WSOP bracelet.

Hossein Ensan hat das WSOP Main Event 2026 auf Platz 13 von 9.208 Spielern beendet – als einziger ehemaliger Champion im Feld eine bemerkenswerte Leistung. Auf seinem Weg eliminierte er unter anderem Titelverteidiger Michael Mizrachi.

- Ausgeschieden an Tag 8: Platz 13 von 9.208 Spielern, Preisgeld 510.000 US-Dollar
Die letzte Hand: Mit Ass-Dame ging Ensan aus dem Small Blind all-in und traf auf das Königspaar von Michael Gagliano. Der Flop brachte zusätzliche Outs, doch der König auf dem Turn und ein bitteres Ass auf dem River machten die Sache endgültig – ein klassischer Cooler zum Abschluss eines starken Laufs. WSOP-Kommentator Nick Schulman brachte es live auf den Punkt: „He is a legend."
Hossein Ensan finished the 2026 WSOP Main Event in 13th place out of 9,208 entries – a remarkable result as the only former champion left in the field. Along the way he eliminated, among others, defending champion Michael Mizrachi.

- After Day 7: 7th of 21 remaining players
- Eliminated on Day 8: 13th of 9,208 players, for a $510,000 payout
The final hand: Ensan shoved ace-queen from the small blind and ran into Michael Gagliano's pocket kings. The flop gave him extra outs, but the king on the turn and a bittersweet ace on the river sealed his fate – a classic cooler to close out a remarkable run. WSOP commentator Nick Schulman summed it up live on air: "He is a legend."
